Antonel Neculai was born and raised in Romania and has lived, studied, taught, and worked in the United States for two decades — long enough to understand the country from the inside, and old enough to know what he brought with him that is worth keeping. Trained as an engineer, valedictorian of his graduating class, he approaches every question the same way: systematically, on evidence, and with a deep reluctance to accept any principle on authority alone.
